Nomination Requirements

  • The book must be specialized in Islamic economics topics, written in Arabic or English, not translated from another book, and must be characterized by originality and innovation.
  • The intellectual work must be published as a physical book. It may be a printed scholarly thesis or an edited manuscript. Textbooks and university course materials are not accepted.
  • The book must have been published within the last five years and must be no fewer than 30,000 words.
  • Submissions may be made by the candidate, and third-party nominations (other than the author) are also accepted.
  • The author must adhere to the scientific method and recognized standards of scholarly writing.
  • An author may submit only one work; however, co-authored works are permitted.
  • The work must not have received a similar award previously.
  • An electronic copy of the book must be submitted along with the application and other required documents.

Book Evaluation Stages

First Stage: Initial Assessment

  • Submission of all required documents (electronic copy of the manuscript, application form, undertakings, and CV).
  • Verification that the work meets the award's terms and criteria.
  • Screening the work through plagiarism detection tools.
  • Works that do not meet the required conditions and standards will be disqualified.

Second Stage: Scholarly Review

  • Appointment of 3–5 specialized reviewers for each work (Sharia, Economics, Language, Law, Technology).
  • The review process is confidential and follows the principles of double-blind peer review.
  • The review period is 2–3 months.
  • Reviewers are required to submit a detailed report and evaluation form for each work.
