Doha, Qatar – The organizing committee of the Doha Islamic Finance Conference officially announced today the launch of the first edition of the Doha Islamic Finance Conference Global Award, initiated by the Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs of the State of Qatar, in cooperation with Bait Al-Mashura Financial Consultations, in a step aimed at promoting innovation, scientific research, and excellence in the Islamic economic sector.

The Chairman of the organizing committee confirmed that this edition of the Doha Islamic Finance Conference comes at a time of radical transformation and technological development in the Islamic economy. This necessitated the launch of an international scientific award with multiple categories based on approved standards, to be more comprehensive and forward-looking, forming a global initiative aimed at encouraging distinguished scholarly research, honoring scientific achievements in the field of Islamic economics and finance, and supporting the Islamic financial industry through innovation, development, and rigorous scholarly output.

Various Categories for Innovation and Sustainability

This award stands out by offering multiple categories, including the "Research Excellence in Islamic Economics Award," the "Best Book in Islamic Economics Award," and the "Innovation in Islamic Economics Award." These categories respond to the need for development and technological transformation, and encourage digital solutions that contribute to achieving sustainable development goals.

The Chairman stated: "We believe the future belongs to an economy built on values, knowledge, and innovation. Our award contributes to expanding both scientific and applied knowledge, and recognizes the real, sustainable impact that individuals and institutions make in their communities."

Call for Nominations

The committee has invited all scholars, researchers, academics, experts, and postgraduate students in the field of Islamic finance and economics from around the world to apply for the award through the official award website, where all applications will undergo a rigorous evaluation process by an independent international judging panel.
